IT CAME FROM YESTERDAY is the feature film that launches scientist Professor Jack Cranston into unknown realms of adventure. With the help of his sidekicks, Buddy and Penny Precious of The Electric Club, Jack must unravel the mysterious plot of interdimensional insect-like creatures hell bent on enslaving the entire human race.

This action adventure film has been a three year labor of love for producers Jeff Waltrowski and Steve Tolin. Together, in 2008, they formed Clear Conscience Pictures and ICFY is the maiden voyage of this new production company.

Taking place in a completely virtual environment and shot 100% on green screen, every single one of the over 1500 shots in the movie involved some kind of computer compositing, modeling, animation, or FX. With exception of a few models that were built by associate artists, every one of the computer FX elements for the movie was created by Steve and Jeff alone. To meet this need the duo also created a new Visual FX company, which they aptly named, "These 2 Dudes".
Producing and shooting a movie with these techniques have some other decidedly favorable advantages. It creates a much more streamline operation that minimizes the waste typically associated with making movies, and as a result is a truly green way to produce a film. While on many films to build a single set will use thousands of pounds of lumber, steel, and various building materials, ICFY used three pieces of green fabric and a roll of tie line. In contrast to the multitudes of dumpsters that are carted to the landfill full of just two
week old sets that are seen again and again on many movie projects, barely one dumpster was filled over the entire course of creating ICFY.
Jeff based much of It Came from Yesterday on inspiration from a bygone era- the golden age of imagination and the silver age of cinema. Combining his seemingly infinate knowledge of classic sci-fi and the 1950's serials with a more contemporary sensibility in the style of movies like Indiana Jones, Jeff crafted a tale of adventure and wonder that truly reflects his love for motion pictures.
Not every special effect for It Came from Yesterday was created in a computer. While computer generated technology afforded the filmmakers the freedom to generate period elements that were neccessary for building an authentic 1940's era film, live action tactile pieces were essential in creating a truly retro film. 
This is seen most prominently in the costumes and in the monster suits.
Blending live action creatures and special effects with computer generated environments, characters, and visual effect was the key to combining a contemporary twist on classic material.
It Came from Yesterday was shot entirely in Pittsburgh, PA- the city that Steve and Jeff both proudly call home. One of the primary hubs for Paramount in the silver screen days, Pittsburgh is of course also the home of George A. Romero's "Night of the Living Dead", and is considered by many to now be the zombie capital of the world. The city has also in more recent years been host to many blockbuster films and has become a favorite location for several Hollywood studios. 
Once known as the steel and financial capital of the world, Pittsburgh is also rich in film history.
Steve and Jeff have big plans for the future. Clear Conscience, as the old adage goes, has many projects in various stages of development. They are gearing up for another picture soon and also have the next chapter in the Professor Jack Adventure saga well under way. Professor Jack's story will continue, but will this be the next project that Clear Conscience produces, or will the current of the universe pull Jeff and Steve in another direction?
